Perception Institute: The Science of Equality, Vol. 2: The Effects of Gender Roles, Implicit Bias and Stereotype Threat on the Lives of Women and Girls

It’s a mouthful of a title, but sadly the challenges facing women and girls are diverse enough to deserve that long list. After eschewing the rote, hackneyed images of feminism vs. femininity (Barbie Dolls! Mid-50s Housewives!), we hit upon this slightly more ambiguous but ultimately more hopeful image of women and girls navigating through the obstacles created by gender stereotypes. After the last election, it may be a more hazardous path than ever, but it’s therefore even more worthy of our support.
