Stag, the Film
The early 1960s. A girl just on the cusp of adulthood. Her father and her friends sequester themselves in the basement of their suburban house once a week, every week. The shades are drawn. The door is locked. What could possibly be going on? Director Kevin Newbury ratchets up the tension in this moving and funny coming of age story that is both true to its era and surprisingly modern. Our poster – done in our patented dry brush and collage technique – captures the tension of the girl crouched in the basement, seeing what she’s not sure she wants to see. The film is still making the rounds of the film festivals – and receiving well-deserved accolades – but keep checking back here. We promise we’ll post the link as soon as its available digitally.
